We have completed the PREQUAL Contractor assessment and prequalification process.

This means:

• our health & safety policies, practices and procedures have been independently assessed our insurances have been verified and we’re committed to keeping them current
• we recognise the value and importance of contractor pre-qualification in cooperation with clients and other contractors
• we meet the requirements of our clients who require us to have completed the PREQUAL assessment
• we take the health and safety of our people seriously
• we are committed to doing the right thing

New Zealand Certified Builders is a membership organisation set up by a group of trade qualified builders in 1998. These builders wanted to create a group that would protect homeowners from unqualified builders and unethical practices and promote excellence in building standards.

NZCB has an extensive membership of builders throughout New Zealand proudly carrying the NZCB stamp of approval. Each builder is trade qualified with a strong history of stability and success.

To ensure the high NZCB standards are maintained, we also take into account a builder’s history of stability and success, continued solvency, absence of complaints by customers and suppliers, a good untarnished reputation and brand, and consistently high standards.

Site Safe has been influential in creating a positive change in the health & safety culture of New Zealand’s construction industry.

Our overarching goal is for the industry to be proud to be safe and to reduce injury and harm.

To do this, we provide education and resources on best practice systems and behaviours known to improve on-site health & safety. We help develop future Health & Safety leaders, give advice to businesses on solutions that make a real difference and ensure that everyone goes home safe at the end of each day.

The New Zealand Government licence building practitioners so that the New Zealand public can have confidence that LBPs working on their homes and buildings are competent, and that homes and buildings are designed and built right.
